If you are thinking of opening a franchise there’s lots of things to consider. For example, you need to make sure the industry you’re considering is the right fit for you. It’s also worth considering whether to invest in a franchise or start your own business.
Once you have made these decisions, it’s best to consider time frames. How long does it take to open your franchise and get your new business up and running?
The Time It Takes to Open a Little Muddy Boots Franchise
On average we say it takes 2-3 months from signing on the dotted line to launching your very first Muddy Boots class.
It’s really important to us that you are supported every step of the way. We want you to love being part of the team and feel really excited to be getting out in your very own garden or gardens and teaching little ones and their families. But there are few things we need to put in place before we can do this.
What’s Involved with Setting up a Little Muddy Boots Franchise?
Finding a Garden
The first thing is finding the right site for you to create your unique, child focused garden space. We will work with you to research local places help you to find the right place. We have have experience of lots of Little Muddy Boots gardens, so we know what works and what doesn’t, to help you to get it right.
Then you will need training. We will train you on teaching outdoors, connecting you with other franchisees and group leaders and visiting different gardens, so you will feel completely confident when it’s time to go solo.
On top of this, you will have training on marketing and social media and on our booking systems. You will also need to complete a first aid course.
To get set-up you will need to DBS checked, which is a standard checking for anyone who works with children. There’s a bit of boring paperwork (but it won’t take you long and we’ve got your back). Then to get all of your equipment ordered and your garden set-up and looking amazing.
We will help you put together a marketing plan for launch to help your business and get those all important bookings. We love a launch party and it’s always really exciting and we’ll be counting down the days with you.
So What is a Good Time of Year to Launch?
It’s always worth considering the 2-3 month lead time when you are thinking of when to start and sign up as a franchise. For example if you want to launch in the Spring – January is a great time to be actively talking to us. For September, you should be getting in touch in May to allow for the summer holidays.
You can launch any time of year, but always consider that it will take time from signing up to launch and include this in your business plan. We can also guide you to launch at the best time to suit you and draw the highest number of customers to you.
